It's weird: I hate what that clown did to the country, and, yet, I love those quotes. He's the anti-Mark Twain.
It's funny. By the tail end of Bush's presidency, my feelings of seething anger were replaced mostly by pity. Of course, he and his administration left us in such bad shape, I should probably still be more furious. Still, somehow, these days it's the image of the bumbling good old boy that's planted firmly in my head.
